Headway Gauteng has a broad base of funding and support that includes private individuals, Trusts and corporates. Our programmes are partially self-funding as some of their members are able to contribute towards membership fees and the group activity programmes. However, this only accounts for a small percentage of income relative to the organisation’s total expenditure. The vast majority of our members and  their families are not able to contribute financially.

As such, our organisation continues to invest time and effort in the activities below.

Through these efforts, we hope that Headway will become more self-sufficient.  With your support, we may one day achieve our goal.

Headway collects used printer cartridges as well waste paper and cardboard for recycling. This helps to “green our planet” as well generate much needed revenue. Headway Hyde Park serves as our drop off point for these 2 initiatives.

Headway keeps a stock of collection tins which can be placed in your favourite supermarket/shop on our behalf, on your desk or on your bedside table. Your change, changes lives.

The MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet fundraising programme is one of South Africa’s biggest community programmes. We raise funds for schools, charities and environmental organisations through a card system that allows supporters to raise funds for their beneficiary (school or charity) every time they shop at our partner stores. Partners make a contribution, on behalf of the supporter/cardholder, towards the beneficiary they have selected.

The system allows cardholders to make a difference to a worthy cause without it costing them a cent! The MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet programme raises more than R6 million per month for the schools, charities, animal welfare and environmental organisations it supports.
