Headway Journal Club
Here at Headway Gauteng, we pride ourselves on working within a multidisciplinary team and furthering our knowledge on brain injury from all disciplines. Headway Journal Club has 10 meetings a year, from February to November, on the last Wednesday of every month from 17h00 to 18h00.
During 2016 our speakers have ranged from a neuro psychometrist, to an industrial psychologist, to a biochemist. We try to present varied topics from a wide variety of speakers.
Topics in 2017 included Visual Consequences and Rehabilitation after Brain Injury, Re-Employability Assessment of Persons with TBI, Drugs of Abuse, Addiction and Brain Injury, and Epigenetics and the Brain.
Headway Journal Club is accredited by the University of the Witwatersrand, and offers 1 CPD point per talk. The entry fee is R40 and all are welcome.
